With Karlheinz Fischer taking over operations at FISCHER, the business is now led by the Fischer family in its second generation. Under his leadership, arguably the most essential step in the company‘s history was undertaken: the large-scale development of Europe-wide business activities that later transformed into the FISCHER‘s pillar of automation technology.

A German success story
In 1952 Erich Fischer dared to put all his eggs into one basked and founded a specialized business focusing on high-end sewing technologies. He founded a company named „Naehmaschinen Fischer“ (“Sewing Machines Fischer”) in Hof an der Saale, Germany. His motivation was to provide the regional textile and clothing industry with high-quality machines.
By 2011, Karlheinz Fischer, head of the company in its second generation in the hands of the Fischer family, provided customers all over Europe and North America with quality Made in Germany. Due to the high international demand for Fischer products and services, the company‘s name was changed from: „Fischer Systemuebergreifende Automatisierungstechnik” (“Fischer Cross-System Automation Technology”) to „FISCHER AUTOMATION”, to reflect that FISCHER had developed into a internationally oriented business.
With this courageous move, we doubled our number of employees and moved to a much larger facilities with our greatly expanded and close-knitted team of specialists.
